Simple easy fast construction. Expansion of a family home at La Casita Ecologia. The simplicity and beauty is quite evident in the following pictures. A detailed post on the nitty gritties will come up on my next trip to La Sierra Gorda.. where I will explore the local mud plasters.

This method you see here is called Bahareque, a common variant of Wattle and Daub. The wood is local, un treated. The mud is local, nothing is added to the clay it other than straw.

It is ok for a plant to grow on your wet wall. It wil thrive while its wet. The roots will hold your plaster together. Once the wall dries out, the plant dies. The roots will continue to hold your plaster together.
